Client: Consolidated Grain and Barge (CGB)
Location: Naples, IL
The CGB Naples facility had an old barge and hopper combination to unload grain barges from the Illinois River. This existing barge was in need of replacement and was constantly being grounded during low water. Also, to change unloading equipment the barge would have to be relocated to a separate ramp. Our project was to replace the old barge with a new one and a bridge to attach the barge to the land for ease of access which was not previously available. St. Louis Bridge provided the land based foundations and the bridge attaching the new barge to the land. In addition to these structures we aided in the placement and preparation of the new barge equipment platform.
